Brandy and Christian Holmes are native Houstonians who love good food, good music, and good company. They've been married since 2009 and have two kids — Helena and Flynn. The Holmes' have two cats, and a dog.

 

Brandy is an independent change management consultant, currently working in the oil & gas industry. Christian taught middle school and High School theatre for 19 years, and is the audio/visual technician and video producer at First Unitarian Universalist Church of Houston.

 

Brandy has a passion for travel, writing, and cooking big breakfasts. Helena loves animals, drawing, and playing Minecraft. Christian values spending time with people and has collected many board games over the years to do so.  He also enjoys Dungeons & Dragons, synthesizers and painting miniatures. Flynn loves trains, the Saturn V rocket, and playing with Helena. Both Brandy and Christian have backgrounds in the arts and used to perform locally with the Catastrophic Theatre Company. Christian was a local modern dancer with Suchu and Hopestone dance companies.

 

The Holmes family is drawn to co-housing because it's the best antidote for modern ailments. Community is everything.
