East End Commons is a cohousing community of 33 private homes in the historic 2nd Ward of Houston, Texas. Our neighbors include adults, children, seniors, some dogs, a few cats, and lots of bikes.

We are a multi-generational, self-managed inclusive community that holds common values of community and sustainability. We welcome all faith traditions, all backgrounds, and all pets legally authorized by the City of Houston (sorry, gators).

We choose East End Commons as our home because we want to offer support and friendship, while respecting our needs for privacy. We chose the East End specifically because it is on Light Rail, close to downtown, and is a beautiful green neighborhood. Established in 2026, East End Commons is the first cohousing community in Texas!​
